A Morte da Estrela (The Death of the Star) is a triptych production, made up by Estação#1_Lembre-se de Mim (Station#1_REMEMBER ME), directed by Natália Malo; Estação#2_DEVIR O QUÊ? (Station#2_COME TO BE WHAT?), directed by Lu Favoretto; and Estação#3_EMBORAR (Station#3_AWAYING), directed by Cibele Forjaz.
Collectively developed and with playtext by Cláudia Schapira, Estação#3_EMBORAR, inspired by the Kamayurá myth of the Yamuricumã women, tells a tale of three women who search for a way to exist unbounded by the oppressive strings of our present western society. Called beyond by a chant sung by the indigenous leader Mapulú Kamayurá, they realise what they look for can only be found by leaving this life behind, by awaying to pursue and create new worlds.
